Werder Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen
“It has been a season to forget for Werder Bremen who sit in the relegation zone. Injury-hit SVW are the lowest scorers in the league this season with just 27 goals in 24 goals. They have only one win at home, and relegation is looking likely. Leverkusen, however, are growing into a serious force in the Bundesliga. Coach Peter Bosz has found the best out of his side since the turn of the year. Bayer have seven wins from their last nine and have the third best defence in the league. A comfortable victory for the visitors looks likely.”

Bundesliga mainstays Bremen facing relegation
The 2004 Bundesliga champions and 2008 Europa League runners-up are in deep trouble. With 18 points from 24 games and eight points from safety, the hosts have 10 matches to turn their season around. Coach Florian Kohfeldt will be without veteran Claudio Pizarro and former Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen. A break in the season can only benefit a side struggling to keep their Bundesliga status alive after so long in the top flight.
The Green and Whites have seen Over 3.5 goals scored in 50% of their league games this season. They have picked up just five points at home, however, 2-2 is their most common scoreline. In fact, Bremen secured a 2-2 draw against Leverkusen in the reverse fixture. Another draw here for Bremen could be hugely significant at the end of the season.

Title longshot Leverkusen thriving under Bosz
A rejuvenated Peter Bosz is thriving once again with his latest club Bayer Leverkusen. The Dutch coach has overseen one of the most exciting sides in the Bundesliga, especially since January. Bayer 04 have lost just once since December 18th, and were in free-scoring form before the enforced break. The 4-3 epic win over Bosz’s former club Borussia Dortmund back in February is a highlight of their season.
Leverkusen have scored at least once in the first half in each of their last eight league matches. However, 25% of total goals in their games come in the 76-90th minute period. Two clean sheets in their last three games has contributed to a strong defensive effort this season. However, six of their 25 games this season have seen Bayer win by a single goal margin, including two of their last five matches.
Bayer Leverkusen Betting tip – Bayer Win by One Goal (8/5* with Mark Jarvis)
