Juventus vs Atletico Madrid
Who? Juventus vs Atletico Madrid in Group D of Matchweek 5 of the UEFA Champions League 2019/20.
Where? Allianz Stadium, Turin, Italy
When? 20:00 GMT, Tuesday 26th November 2019
Two European giants clash at the Allianz Stadium in Group D as Juventus host Atletico Madrid, with the hosts already guaranteed a place in the next round.
Juventus are in amazing form this season. They sit in 1st and remain unbeaten in Serie A and the Champions League under Maurizio Sarri this season. Most impressively, the Old Lady have only dropped six points from three draws, four points in Serie A and two points in Group D of the Champions League. In fact, the last defeat they received was in the summer against their opponents this evening in the International Champions Cup. They have already confirmed their spot for the Round of 16 with two matches remaining and can focus on topping the group.
For Diego Simeone, his unbeaten runs this season have seen lots of draws and low-scoring affairs. Eight of their last 15 matches in all competitions have ended in a draw, including a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture against Juventus. They have still only lost twice this season, however. Atleti remain in good stead to challenge for La Liga and the latter stages of the Champions League if they can start turning draws into wins. They have conceded at least once in their last five matches, and we expect that trend to continue against a hugely in-form Juve.
Juventus (23/20* to Win): Alex Sandro, Adrien Rabiot, Giorgio Chiellini, Matteo Perin and Marko Pjaca are all out for the hosts through injury. The main man, Cristiano Ronaldo, is not 100%, but we expect he will play. The former Real Madrid star is likely to feature alongside another former Real Madrid player, Gonzalo Higuain.
Atletico Madrid (11/4* to Win): Diego Simeone is without Diego Costa for this match because of a neck injury. Atletico will also be without former Serie A full back Sime Vrsaljko. Doubtful players for this game include central defenders, Jose Gimenez and Stefan Savic.
