Bromley vs Bristol Rovers

Who? Bromley vs Bristol Rovers in FA Cup First Round Replay 2019/20

Where? Hayes Lane, Bromley

When? 19:45 GMT, Tuesday 19th November 2019 (Live on BT Sport)

Overview

National League Bromley earned themselves a deserved replay as they take on League One Bristol Rovers at Hayes Lane on Tuesday evening, live on BT Sport.

Bromley battled hard earlier in the month at Memorial Stadium in Bristol. After going 1-0 down in the 78th minute through L Leahy, it look as though The Ravens would exit the FA Cup. Just five minutes later, however, goal-scoring defender Chris Bush netted an equalising goal to keep Bromley in the hat for the next round. He then scored twice in the following game for Bromley against Harrogate Town. The league game was a thriller, finishing 3-3 and that result secured The Lilywhites 2nd place in the National League table. The winner of this tie plays Plymouth Argyle.

For Bristol Rovers, they will be very disappointed to not see out a victory against the underdogs Bromley. The League One side, currently sat in 10th place, had been in solid league form prior to the clash earlier in the month. Five wins from nine matches in all competitions leading up to the FA Cup tie had the hosts down as comfortable favourites. It was not to be and they travel to South East London in a replay match that is much closer to call. Last time out, Rovers managed their first clean sheet in six games as they won 1-0 against Swindon in the EFL Trophy.
