Man Utd vs Partizan – Europa Tips

Manchester United vs Partizan

Who? Manchester United vs Partizan Belgrade in Group E of Matchweek 4 of the UEFA Europa League 2019/20

Where? Old Trafford, Manchester

When? 20:00 GMT, Thursday 7th November 2019

Overview

Matchweek 4 of the UEFA Europa League sees Champions League Quarter-Finalists Manchester United host Partizan Belgrade in Group L at Old Trafford.

United looked to be improving from a very below par start to the season. Bournemouth halted a three wins streak in all competitions for the Red Devils last time out. It feels like back to square one and we expect this game against Partizan to be a low-scoring poor affair. The return of Anthony Martial has been a boost, but Paul Pogba the only key missing player for United, the lack of creativity is a real concern. Incredibly, Manchester United are top of the group having only scored two goals. The defence is fairly solid, and that is all that is going for United this season.

For Partizan, they will feel annoyed to have not got back into the reverse fixture against United. A 1-0 win, thanks to an Anthony Martial penalty in Belgrade, separated the sides. Previous to that game, Partizan had scored twice in each of their opening two games in the Europa League. Fighting with Alkmaar for a qualification spot, Partizan will need to get results away to the Dutch side and at home to Astana if they are not coming away from Manchester with anything.

Team News

Manchester United (4/11* to Win): Manchester United’s injury list is substantial, especially for a small senior squad. Defenders Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly, Tim Fosu-Mensah, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Axel Tuanzebe are out. Midfielders Angel Gomes and Paul Pogba are also unavailable for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Partizan Belgrade (17/2* to Win): The only player unavailable to Partizan will be former Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic, who is out with a groin injury.

Key Players

Manchester United: Marcus Rashford (Evs* Anytime Scorer)

Partizan Belgrade: Umar Sadiq (5/1* Anytime Scorer)

Head-To-Head
