The tournament has a $7m purse once again this year total prize money, being part of the Rolex Series. Since it’s backed by big sponsors and organisers, the field of players has been very strong over the years, and it is no different this year.

Martin Kaymer has had the most success in this tournament, winning three times and holding the record for the best score. He shot 264, -24 to par (67-65-66-66=264), his best ever score in his career as he won comfortably by eight strokes over Rory McIlroy. One of the tournament favourites, Tommy Fleetwood, won back-to-back in 2017 and 2018.
