Premier League Matchweek 16: Saturday 7th December Betting Tips
Matchweek 16 of the Premier League provides FIVE games for our tips, taking place across the country on Saturday after a rare midweek round of fixtures.
The early kick off sees managerless Everton host free-scoring Chelsea at Goodison Park. Marco Silva could not improve his team’s results and eventually parted ways with the Merseyside club. The next run of fixtures does not get much easier for caretaker coach Duncan Ferguson either. Chelsea have won five out of seven Premier League away games this season, and Frank Lampard has a great opportunity to extend that impressive record. The 3pm kick offs include…
- AFC Bournemouth vs Liverpool FC
- Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Burnley FC
- Watford FC vs Crystal Palace FC
The evening kick off, at 17:30 GMT features a huge clash between the two Manchester clubs. Manchester City welcome a Manchester United side who are looking to repeat a famous 3-2 comeback at the Etihad. The two sides are having very contrasting seasons, however, a derby match usually means form can go out of the window. Both teams and their supporters will be up for another dramatic bout. This fixture last season saw the hosts finish 3-1 victors. A late goal from substitute Ilkay Gundogan secured all three points for the blue side of Manchester.

Everton FC vs Chelsea FC (12:30 GMT — BT Sport)
Sometimes there is a bounce in results after a manager has parted ways with a club. Toffees fans will hope that is the case with club favourite Duncan Ferguson in caretaker charge of the club for this weekend’s games. They host a Chelsea side who are playing some of the most expansive football this season and can cause any team problems. Everton needs points and we can see a score draw with both sides problem of shipping goals.
AFC Bournemouth vs Liverpool FC (15:00 GMT)
It has been a terrible run of recent form for the Cherries. Four defeats on the bounce for Eddie Howe’s side means Bournemouth sit in 14th and just two points above the drop. A host of injuries has caused a big impact on results, and they now have to stop leaders Liverpool. The Reds made easy work of Everton last time out, and have won their last four against the hosts. We expect them to carry on extending their gap at the top.
Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Burnley FC (15:00 GMT)
Jose Mourinho suffered his first defeat as Spurs boss against his former team Manchester United. The resurgence of Dele Alli’s form is a big plus It seems the Portuguese boss is looking to figure out his best midfield and defensive pairs. They host a solid Clarets side who rarely have games where both teams score, however, we can see both netting as Tottenham defensive woes continue.
Watford FC vs Crystal Palace FC (15:00 GMT)
The desperation from the Hornet’s board is clear to see as they search for a third manager of the season. It is likely the next appointment will be a British coach with experience of improving results and keeping teams in the league. For now, Hayden Mullins takes charge for his second game for the bottom club against Crystal Palace. The Eagles are flying this season, and we can see another impressive away victory.
Manchester City FC vs Manchester United FC (17:30 GMT— Sky Sports)
The big game of the weekend sees blue face red in Manchester. City have not been their usual self in the league, but still sit in a good enough position to likely pounce on any slip-ups. United’s inconsistency could mean club favourite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacks himself by an unpopular board. We can see Manchester being blue after this one.
